On The Road with Vintage Air

A Kool Show in TEXAS! This past weekend The Goodguys 19th Annual Lone Star Nationals were held in our home state, just a couple hundred miles north of us on I-35 in Fort Worth. With the beginning of fall rolling in, all the hot rodders and show visitors were welcomed with
very pleasant weather. By Texan standards. As some of you may have heard, “it gets hot in Texas” from time to time.
We would like to thank everyone who stopped by the booth to visit and inquire about our latest products. Our very own Vice President, Rick Love and our National Sales Manager, George Packard were in attendance with their 1972 Camaro’s. They were there as spectators...we gave them a
well deserved weekend off. Rick and George along with seven or eight other local south Texas hot
rodders cruised up to Fort Worth for the weekend.
This event marked the debut of George’s 1972 Camaro. What started out as a simple “scuff-n-shoot” turned into a two and a half year restoration. Look for a full feature article in an upcoming issue of Camaro Performers. Both Camaro’s are equipped with our Small Block Chevy Front Runner
and a Gen IV system. Below you will find two videos of George and Rick putting our products to the test. As you can tell by the videos, I willing to bet, most of there weekend was spent on the Autocross... Videos courtesy of our good friend Rick Ciemny.

The 2010 SEMA Show has now come and gone. We would like to thank everyone who stopped by the booth and for your interest in Vintage Air Products. The show was a huge success. In fact, buyer registration for the 2010 SEMA Show set a new all-time record. Our featured New Product at this year’s SEMA Show was our 1964-67 GTO Gen IV SureFit™ System (click for more information)

Vintage Air products were represented prominently throughout the 2010 SEMA Show. Many of the booth and feature vehicles were equipped with Vintage Air Systems The most notable trend on the rise in our industry are Pro-Touring vehicles, which was very evident at this year’s SEMA Show. Vintage Air is very proud to be a part of this growing trend. Individuals building Pro-Touring vehicles want a lot of horsepower, the best handling suspension systems available, and modern creature comforts such as air conditioning. Almost every Pro-Touring vehicle at this year’s show included air conditioning, and our Gen IV climate control systems along with our Front Runner Drive Systemswere very well represented.

Click on the image below for a sampling of booth and feature vehicles from the 2010 SEMA Show. Some of the images include, The “Dragon”, a Ringbrothers-built 1970 Mustang Mach I fastback which features our Gen IV system along with our Small Block Ford Front Runner. “Dragon” won the coveted 2010 Mothers Shine Award, which is handed out by Mothers at SEMA as the “Best of Show”. The Shine Award honors uncompromising excellence in motor vehicle design. Congratulation to owners Jayne Roorda and Jack Alex Stoner of Chandler, AZ and Mike and Jim Ring of the Ringbrothers in Spring Green, WI. Other notable vehicles Mark Stielow’s eventual Optima Street Car Invitational winning 1969 Camaro featuring our Gen IV system and an LS Front Runner, a Bobby Alloway built 1963 Corvette, Bryan Fullers 1961 “Impaler”, and MBRP Exhaust’s “Colorado Speed” equipped with our Gen IV system. Americruise 2002- The South Texas Tour
As the Official South Texas Tour Leader we started the long journey to Lincoln from our headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. After gathering a few friends, we threw in our suitcases and hit the road. Had a very exciting and successful tour this year. We met some new friends, saw some interesting places, and ran across some really cool cars along the way. As always, we took some cool photos along the way and thought we would share them with you.
