PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
As I write this message, it’s hard to believe we are almost a quarter of the way into 2023. After so many uncertainties in the past few years, we are all enjoying the world around us getting back to a much more normal feel. It has been great to be back out on the road catching up with friends at events and local cruise nights, and the turnout at all of these events seems to be excellent.
The supply line issues that have affected nearly every aspect of our lives have fortunately been easing and improving over the last year. We are seeing both raw materials and components more readily available and arriving closer to scheduled dates. The improving supply chain has been huge for us and has helped us to reduce our lead times for both our climate control systems and Front Runners.
We are continuing to see the definition of a classic car evolve, and we are expanding our coverage to include more vehicles from the 1980s and even into the 90s. We are also very excited to introduce our new Gen 5 series. The Gen 5 is the next evolution of our venerable Gen IV and includes even more OEM quality features like an injection molded case assembly, rubber over-molded blend air doors, a block-type expansion valve, and higher torque actuator motors. We have just released new SureFit kits for the GM 3rd Generation Camaros and Firebirds that incorporate this new Gen 5 Super Magnum module. These new kits join our recently releasedsystems for the 1982-88 Monte Carlo/El Camino, Oldsmobile Cutlass, and Buick Grand National. These G-Body kits incorporate a new stamped steel firewall cover that really cleans up the engine compartment while delivering more clearance for engine upgrades or swaps. We have also expanded our Ford F-Series Pickup and Bronco kits to include the 1981-86 models. While we are continuing to develop more SureFit kits, we haven’t forgotten about our hot rod roots. Our new Streamline Heater captures the essence of add-on aftermarket heaters from the 30s and 40s while providing modern performance and reliability.
One thing that has not changed is that we are very fortunate to have a great group of people that remain committed to designing, manufacturing, and delivering the best performing and highest quality climate control systems in the industry. The strength of any company lies in its people, and we are very proud of the dedicated and talented staff we have assembled through the years. We still take the principles of integrity and workmanship seriously, and have since Jack founded Vintage Air back in 1976. As always, we appreciate your continued confidence and support. Jack Chisenhall, owner of Vintage Air was recently awarded the 2011 Robert E. Peterson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 13th Annual Hot Rod & Restoration Trade show. The Robert E. Peterson Lifetime Achievement Award is awarded to true innovators in the hot rod industry. Jack created the whole aftermarket air conditioning market in the hot rod industry when he founded Vintage Air back in 1976. Read full story
